You can see the future on a lovely June evening

Fishing boats floated near the dredge as a kayaker plied the near water off the north shore. It was still and perfect on the patio of the Regatta Grille at King’s Pointe on Thursday evening as a parade of baby strollers, strutters and bikers streamed past. The town came alive briefly as the sun shone, and it showed color.

Latino. Black. Asian. And young.
