Alta-Aurelia rallies late from five-run deficit to beat Cherokee, 8-7

Freshman Josh McCormick’s single scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to cap a furious rally as Alta-Aurelia came back from a five-run deficit to beat Cherokee 8-7 in a nonconference game played last Thursday at Alta.

The Braves led 6-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth when the Warriors scored two runs to pull within 6-3.
