Kenkel leads SL past Lakes rival Cherokee, 10-0

Ethan Kenkel fired a three-hitter and struck out 12 batters on the mound, and Storm Lake scored five runs in the fourth inning and went on to beat Cherokee 10-0 in a Lakes Conference game on Wednesday night at Tornado Field.       

The Tornadoes, now 2-2 in the league and 8-2 overall, plated three runs in the third and two in the sixth.   

Kenkel allowed just three base hits and walked three over six innings.

Storm Lake had eight hits in the game. Aaron Krier had two hits, including a home run, scored two runs and drove in three runs.
