Four-run frame helps A-A take control, beat St. Mary’s


Warriors pin 11-2 setback on Panthers

Alta-Aurelia scored four runs in the top of the third inning to take control as the Warriors went on to defeat Storm Lake St. Mary’s 11-3 in a nonconference game on Wednesday night at Memorial Field.       

Alta-Aurelia added two more runs in the fifth and three in the sixth.      

St. Mary’s, now 4-3, had six hits in the game, including a two-run double by Joe Sandhoff. Aaron Miller drove in a run with a single. Eric Broich led the way with two singles. Cole Feltner doubled and Ryan Peters singled.
